Director, Education

The American Society of Hematology (ASH), based in Washington DC, is the largest professional society serving clinicians and scientists worldwide who are working to conquer blood disorders. ASH is seeking a new Director, Education who will report to the Clief Learning Officer.  The organization works a hybrid schedule with several days a week in the office.

The Director, Education provides strategic and operational leadership and management for all educational activities; ensures that educational offerings are cutting edge and that they maintain their relevance and value for members; and collaborates across the organization to ensure that the work of the Education team is integrated into all of ASH’s activities.

This individual will possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in directing  the education and professional development activities of a medical society or healthcare organization and the development of new educational programs.  A Bachelor’s degree (an advanced degree preferred) and current knowledge of clinical learning theory and practices and emerging technologies for education delivery to health care professionals required.
