AOBA’s New CEO is Lisa Mallory

The Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington welcomes Lisa Mallory as its new president and CEO on February 10, 2025. Mallory succeeds Peggy Jeffers, who is retiring after 35 years of dedicated service leading the association. Mallory brings trade association and government experience to her new role.

Mallory brings keen strategic ability and deep knowledge of real estate and public affairs in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area to her new leadership role. Her trade association experience was as CEO of the DC Building Industry Association, where she led the organization to its highest membership and engagement levels since its inception. She joins AOBA from her most recent role as CEO of the National Association of Health Services Executives. Mallory also has experience working in DC government, having served as the head of the district’s Department of Employment Services.
