Richard earned widespread recognition and respect for his numerous accomplishments with the American Counseling Association (ACA).  As CEO, he led ACA to a prominent role in the association community as a well-managed, successful professional organization – and a pioneer in making diversity, equity and inclusion a bedrock value and guiding principle for ACA.  His work as a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) enabled him to apply these principles across the entire association community and made him a highly valued mentor to numerous CEOs and other senior leaders. 

Richard applies his insights into all aspects of organizational leadership to serving clients across the firm’s chosen areas of focus, with special emphasis on physical and mental health care and life sciences.  His strategic thinking and operational management insights have made him a highly valued colleague at Vetted Solutions and a respected partner for organizations in conducting executive search, creating interim leadership solutions and providing insightful association management consulting 

A native Californian, Richard has a bachelor’s degree in Law and Society from the University of California Santa Barbara, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration (Intergovernmental Management) from the University of Southern California.
